070 Shake "You Can't Kill Me" Album Review

070 Shake’s latest album is pure cinematography. With synths to compete with that of the Stranger Things soundtrack and various vocal arrangements and effects, 070 Shake gives us this dark and twisted body of work that can only be described as the soundtrack to mysterious occurrences in the middle of the night. Her vocal performances are innovative and play a key role in the sonics of the album, working hand in hand with the production, often sounding like a sci-fi movie score. The heartfelt emotions in her voice, whether they're that of anger or sadness, help convey the desolation that relies in the album's nature. It's an album you cannot pluck a track out of and listen to by itself, you must listen from start to finish, the same way you'd watch a movie in the theatre.
